Josep Palacios spent more than 10 years as head of logistics for a multinational company dedicated to the supply of medical-surgical products. It was there where he acquired all the necessary knowledge to carry out his business project together with his family.

In response to the needs that he believed were missing in the market, Josep Palacios, created the company Distrauma medical, founded in 1994, with the aim of providing national hospitals with the necessary medical equipment to develop their activity providing added value in economic profitability by importing/marketing highly competitive hospital supplies or technically efficient products that allow reducing other consumptions.

The fact that Josep Palacios came from the logistics sector, made it possible for him to bring to Distrauma, as the most important value, an excellent service to its customers with high quality products.

Our goal is to supply medical devices that improve healthcare and the quality of daily life of patients.

Door to door and with the hard work of year after year, Josep Palacios has finally formed two companies dedicated to the health sector, established near Barcelona. The first one, Distrauma medical, is entirely focused on providing medical supplies to hospitals, and the second one, dh material médico, is focused on supplying medical devices for all specialties to private clinics. Two family businesses that have grown together with their two sons, Eduard and Marc Palacios.

Distrauma Medical has an excellent multidisciplinary team, which is the reason why it has been successfully positioned in hospitals nationwide for 30 years.

We ensure the safety of the professional and the patient. We distribute medical equipment daily to many national hospitals’.

The team, made up of 40 workers, strives daily to maintain the level of excellence in service, pre and post sales. This is one of the most valued characteristics by our customers.

Thanks to our extensive experience in the healthcare sector, together with the work of a large number of healthcare personnel such as doctors, nurses and assistants, we have been able to develop comprehensive solutions that cover hospital needs.

Marc Palacios, with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, is the commercial director of Distrauma Medical.

He has developed his professional career in different leading multinational companies. Passionate about the search for continuous improvement and innovation of products, services and processes. The goal is to meet the needs of customers by providing a differential value.
